the shots rang out. it's a sight uncommon in this boulder city neighborhood. >> school is across the street, a lot of kids, they all get along good. >> reporter: this neighbor witnessing shots fired at his apartment complex after athens and -- just across from the middle school. >> i heard a couple shots, already outside. a gentleman was banging on the door, shot a one more in the air. the police response was quick, i don't know who called, but they were here in a hurry. >> reporter: the suspect now in custody. the man's identity unknown. but neighbors telling news 3 he's a member of the mon im -- mongols motorcycle club. however this witness chalking up the shooting to a domestic dispute. >> it had to do with the club or the motorcycle, just his woman, just blowing off some steam. >> reporter: luckily, no one injured.

motive in a quiet neighborhood returns to normal. boulder city police will be taking the suspect to the clark county detention center and anticipate he will face multiple charges. vicky gonzalez, back to you. >> marie: thank you. we're nearing the end of an emotional trial. tomorrow afternoon the jury in the otis holland trial are expected to start deliberating. holland wrapped up his testimony today and the prosecution also completed its rebuttal case there were fireworks again when tensions flared between hold land and the special prosecutor, robert langford. >> i have witnesses, of course the state has turned them into -- >> just answer the question. answer the question. >> you're interrupting me, i am answering, i want the jury to know -- >> stop.

been on bore. an update after that deadly greyhound bus crash in northern california. one of the two women has been identified as a 51-year-old woman, highway troopers say the driver reported being tired before the crash. >> jim: a man hired to remove con fed went monuments from the city of new orleans faces death threats and property damage for his work. the contractor hired to remove four confederate monuments quit days ago after he received the death threats. now authorities are investigating a suspicious fire after his lamborghini was found burned this morning, valued at over $200,000, unrecognizable in the parking lot of the man's business. his attorney suspects the fire could be connected to the death threats. we are continuing to follow that breaking news out of pakistan. the latest terror attack, it appears, armed gunmen have

want their names on tv or their enough. what you're about to see is $20,000 in jewelry swiped in as many seconds. look at this. russ expel eastern on a tuesday and a jewelry store owner says this man ripped them off. exclusive video to news 3 shows time. the man smiles and makes friendly small talk with the store owners. seconds later he turns to see if anybody is behind him. then he checks if anybody is watching him from behind the counter. quickly he slips his finger under the glass seam, lifts it up and commits the crime. watch here, the lift, the grab, and the bag. 20 seconds later and $20,000 in jewelry swiped. the owners too afraid to go on camera, hope that you'll recognize the crook and call the cops. so southern nevada, you know what to do, okay crime stoppers, the number is right on your screen. so the afternoon really somebody that far back in time and the

somebody will call in that tip before the crook skips town. >> jim: all right, thank you for that. new aat 11:00, actor and singer jamie fox played a hero in real life, saving a man from a burning truck, near his california home last night. the actor and another man rushed to help the driver when they heard him screaming for help from in overturned vehicle, it was on fire. after all this, fox says it was no big deal. >> i don't look at it as heroic, i just look at it like just had to do something, you know. and it all just worked out. >> reporter: fox met with the driver's father who is grateful for with a he did, of course, the driver was rushed to the hospital. and now faces d.u.i. charges. >> marie: talk about being in the right place at the right time. battered parts of eastern europe causing flight cancellations and

snow blanketed moscow today as temperatures dipped to 18 degrees below zero. about 4 inches of snow fell in the last 24 hours in the russian capital. the snowstorms should stop tomorrow, but the temperatures will continue to drop. >> jim: nothing as intense as that, but with the rain we got in the valley must have got some snow in the mountains. >> kevin: we did, higher elevations though. the town of mount charleston, it was liquid, all water falling there. crazy weather day, because we had your bone afiled fog in patches. clouds on the ground, check that out. that is pretty cool, it just one long cloud hanging out in the mountains there. near lake mead and the 215. the sunrise this morning was gorgeous, but the clouds quickly gobbled up the las vegas valley sky, thickened during the course of the day and of course the rain started to fall as well. here's the time lapse from the lodge, the lodge is about

wanted snow you had to go to the ski area. check out this video of the flakes flying up there at the ski resort. can you see the wind blowing too, that's what you call your horizontal falling snow, with the wind pushing it. a beautiful sight there. back in pahrump, we were watching the west side of the spring mountains as the clouds thicken, lowered and you can see the puddles on the black top out there he high school. back at the lodge, they're getting down to 33 degrees. but a third of an inch of rain that fell there today. in town, far west side had just over a tenth of an inch of rain. 97% was the relative humidity. here's the rest of the rainfall totals, everybody got something. even if it was just a trace, too small to be measured. southwest part of the valley had better than a 10th of an inch in some neighborhoods. and that was the most.

downtown the air mass fully saturated, 100%. used to be a desert. outside the valley some of the rainfall totals not too significant, sandy valley just better than a tenth of an inch. mccarran, the official number, .05, that's our 2016 total, at about a third of an inch. and the rain was falling with a very cool air mass. the high temperature today, 51. that after a morning low of 40. but we will improve significantly on that tomorrow, in fact we'll probably see 51 by mid to late morning, as we race toward the low 60s where we expect the high to be in the afternoon. not much wind, but a whole lot more sunshine expected tomorrow. and by the way, we really have nothing to complain about, because first we could use the rain, but secondly piercing cold air mass in the midwest, that's moving east along with a storm system that is going to get organized from the south, could drop one to two feet of snow in the major metropolitan areas of the northeast later in the week. there goes our system, see you. this one was interesting because
